The meaning of the thesis for which truths are illusions and metaphors whose character has been forgotten is investigated in the presentation of one of Nietzsche's key text On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense.
Giuliano Campioni has taught History of Philosophy at the University of Lecce and Pisa. He directs the "Colli-Montinari" Interuniversity Center for studies on Nietzsche and European culture at the University of Lecce. Curator of the Colli-Montinari Editions of the Works and of the Nietzsche Epistolary for Adelphi, he has dealt with the genesis and evolution of Nietzschean thought, especially in relation to its European sources.
