Personal identity as personality is an essential element at the base of medical bioethics in its entirety: in what terms is it possible to redefine the question of personal autonomy?
Michael Quante is professor of Practical philosophy at the University of Münster. He is the referent of the Centrum für Bioethik and member of the research group on medical and biopolitical ethics of the same University. He is also co-editor of the magazine "Hegel-Studien". He has published articles and essays in different languages. His main research interests are German idealism, political and social philosophy, ethics and biomedical ethics.
