In the occasion of XIX Xylography Biennial of Carpi, it is proposed an exhibition that shows about fifty engravings – coming from Mingardi fund of the Fondazione Cariparma – realized by three artists in the Thirties-Forties of the Twentieth century.
Manuela Rossi, director of the Palazzo dei Pio Museums in Carpi since 1997, designs and coordinates the planning of the institute and takes care of the studies and exhibitions, in particular on the collections of xylography and art graphic and historical-artistic heritage of the Renaissance of the court of the Pio di Carpi.
Enzo Di Martino, art critic and journalist specialized in graphic art, was director of the Venice School of Graphics. In 1982 he founded the Biennale of contemporary woodcut in Carpi, of which he has been the curator since the beginning. He edited the catalog of the graphic work of some of the most important artists of the century, including Mimmo Paladino and Joe Tilson.
